Ace-031 (also known as ACVR2B-Fc or activin receptor type IIB fusion protein) is a lab-made synthetic fusion protein- a modified soluble form of the activin receptor that acts as a potent myostatin inhibitor. Developed in the 2000s by Acceleron Pharma, it was designed to block myostatin (the ‘muscle brake’ protein) so muscles can grow larger and stronger. It is administered via subcutaneous injection and remains strictly investigational.
Ace-031 showed side effects in early human trials, which led to development being halted.
In Phase 1/2 studies: High dose-dependent bleeding issues were the main problem.
Reported effects:
-Nosebleeds, gum bleeding, or easy bruising (most common reason trials stopped) on high doses.
-Injection-site reactions.
Bottom line: Powerful but higher-risk than most peptides – the bleeding side effects make it one of the more controversial research compounds.

Typical dose (subcutaneous injection – belly or thigh):
Reconstitute 2ml Bac water into 1mg Vial. See Reconstitution Guide
For 50mcg per day. Draw 10 units from 1ml syringe (0.1ml) and administer once per day in the morning.
1 vial should last 10 doses.
-Frequency: 3-5 times per week.
Cycling:
– 4-8 weeks ‘on’; then 4-8 weeks off (to avoid receptor desensitization).
– Often used in short, powerful cycles for maximum muscle-building effect.
Tip: Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; store in fridge. Use insulin syringes and sterile technique.
-Myostatin blocker: myostatin is the natural muscle brake; blocking it lets muscles grow far beyond normal limits.
-Activin receptor decoy: acts like a sponge that traps the muscle-limiting proteins before they can signal.
-Mighty mouse origin: inspired by ‘mighty mice’ bred without myostatin that were twice as muscular as normal.
-Muscle-wasting hope: originally developed for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and sarcopenia.
-Bleeding trade-off: the same mechanism that grows muscle can thin blood vessel walls in some people.
-Research legend: one of the strongest anabolic peptides ever tested, but safety issues kept it from becoming a drug.
