KPV is a lab-made synthetic tripeptide – a tiny chain of just 3 amino acids (lysine-proline-valine) derived as the C-terminal fragment of the natural hormone alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (A-MSH). It was identified through research on melanocortin peptides in the early 2000s and has gained attention for its potent, targeted anti-inflammatory effects without the broader hormonal activity of full A-MSH.
Think of KPV as a ‘precision anti-inflammatory sniper.’ It delivers the beneficial parts of A-MSH without the pigmentation or broader hormonal effects.
How it works:
– Inhibits key inflammatory pathways (NF-B and MAP kinase) inside cells.
– Reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-A, IL-6, etc.) while promoting tissue repair and immune balance.
– Acts locally (especially in gut and skin) with minimal systemic absorption in oral/topical forms.
– Gut healing & IBD support: reduces intestinal inflammation, improves barrier function, and promotes remission in colitis models.
– Skin health & wound repair: calms dermatitis, psoriasis-like conditions, and accelerates wound closure.
– Systemic anti-inflammatory effects: lowers overall inflammation markers; potential help for autoimmune or chronic inflammatory issues.
– Bonus signals: antimicrobial properties and immune modulation without suppressing the whole system.
In short: It quiets overactive inflammation at the source while supporting healing – especially effective for gut and skin without steroid-like side effects.
KPV has one of the cleanest safety profiles among researched peptides – described in studies as ‘naturally derived with no notable side effects.’
In available data and user reports: Extremely well-tolerated; no serious adverse events.
Mild/rare effects:
– Injection-site irritation (if injected) or mild digestive upset (oral).
– Occasional transient headache or fatigue (very uncommon).
Bottom line: One of the safest anti-inflammatory peptides in research – side effects are minimal compared to steroids or stronger biologics.
Method of Administration: Subcutaneous into fatty tissue.
Reconstitution: 2ml Bac water into single vial. See Reconstitution Guide
Dose: 300mcg daily, therefore 6 units 0.06ml (NOT 60 Units). Very small dose.
Use peptide calculator for alternative dosage.
Course: 33 doses.
Cycling: Repeat every 3 months for maintenance or as needed.
Tip: Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water; store in fridge. Use insulin syringes and sterile technique.
Human data is emerging but limited (mostly animal + early observations); strong mechanistic evidence.
